Cody Rhodes lands role in Naked Gun film reboot

Cody Rhodes is set to appear in the upcoming Naked Gun reboot.

According to a report from the Daily Wire , Rhodes will make a "significant cameo" in a remake of the 1988 comedy classic. The film will star Liam Neeson as Detective Frank Drebin. In the original, the starring role was played by the late Leslie Nielson. Pamela Anderson has been cast as Drebin's love interest in the film.

Showrunners have teased that Rhodes' character might fall under a hypnotic spell in the film, something that happened to numerous characters in the original.

Rhodes will make his major motion picture debut in the film. Before getting into wrestling, Rhodes and his sister moved to Los Angeles in an attempt to make it in Hollywood. They studied at the Howard Fine Acting School.

Rhodes' father Dusty famously pawned his Rolex to pay for Cody and his sister to attend the school. Nick Khan, Paul Levesque, and Bruce Prichard gifted Cody a Rolex of the same make, model, and serial number as the one his father pawned years ago following the main event of WrestleMania 40.
